What Is a Science Fair?

A science fair is an opportunity for students to explore a question, conduct research or experiments, and present their findings to the community. Students share their work visually and verbally, building confidence and curiosity through hands-on learning.

The event also includes a science activity expo where students can interact with exciting technologies, devices, and real-world scientists.

Goals of the Science Fair

  • Apply the scientific method
  • Develop curiosity about how things work
  • Understand how science connects to the real world
  • Promote awareness and appreciation of science

What Makes a Strong Project?

  • Choose a question you’re genuinely interested in
  • Design your own experiment, model, or solution
  • Do the work independently, with minimal help
  • Use creativity and everyday materials
  • Let your project lead to new questions and ideas
